Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology was originally developed at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Today it is used in one of the most popular flat panel television screens in the market.  What lies on the horizon for liquid crystals? The application to flexible plastics, rather than flat glass will explode the possibilities for this technology.  The possibilities are already here: electronic eyewear, flexible electronic signage, and solar cells are just the beginning.

Kent Displays supplies LCD technology that, for the first time ever, creates display devices that are flexible (because they're placed on flxible polymer substrates) rather than rigid (traditional LCD displays are on flat glass, such as flat panel televisions).
